ProperbreathingisoneeffectivewaytostoreandaccumulatevitalLifeForceenergyinthebody.
Othermeansarecontrolofemotions,thoughts,actions,etc.Properbreathingisapracticethatshould
beusedespeciallybeforeandduringmeditationsinceitactstoharmonizetheenergiesofthemind
and consequently also the mind.
Mostpeopleinthemodernworlddonotknowhowtobreatheproperly.Mostpeople(especially
males)havelearnedtobreathebypushingoutthechest(A)ina“manly”or“macho”fashion.This
modeofbreathingisharmfulformanyreasons.Theamountofairtakeninislessandvitalcosmic
energyisreducedandbecomesstagnantinthesubtlevitalenergychannels,resultinginphysicaland
mentaldiseases.Thestagnationoftheflowofenergythroughthebodyhastheeffectofgrounding
one’sconsciousnesstothephysicalrealitiesratherthanallowingthemindandbodytooperatewith
lightness and subtlety.


“Bellybreathing”orabdominalbreathingmassagestheinternalorgansanddevelops

Breatheinthroughthenostrils(mouthclosed)andpushthestomachout,swellingit


outlikeaballoon.C-Breatheoutagainthroughthenostrilswiththemouthclosed,


andpullthestomachintowardsthespine(back).Thisformofbreathingistobe


practicedatalltimes,notjustduringmeditation.ItallowsthenaturalLifeForcein


theairtoberhythmicallysuppliedtothebodyandnervoussystem.Thisprocessis


indispensableintheachievementofphysicalhealthandmental-spiritualpowerto


control the mind (meditation).


Breathingexercise:Witheyesclosed,allowtheabdomentoexpandasyoubreathein.Visualizethat
youaretakinginLifeForceenergyalongwiththeair.Seeitremaininginyourbodyasyouexpelthe
air. Visualize that all the nutrients of the air are being used and that impurities are being carried away.
