Infact,themainstreamhealthindustryhasbeenrushingintheoppositedirection.
Lesstime.Lessindividuality.Moreandmoredrugs.Everyyear,moreconditions
are“diagnosed”asrequiringmedication.Irecentlysawascientificpaperclaiming
thatthediseaseof“imaginedugliness”shouldbetreatedwithanti-depressants.The
directionistowardmorepills,more“quickfixes,”andmoreprofitforthepharma-
ceutical industry. 259
The same problem exists when dealing with mental disorders:
