Engineering Design with SOLIDWORKS® 2016 Fundamentals of Drawing
An Engineering Change Order (ECO) or Engineering Change Notice (ECN) is written for
each modification in the drawing. Modifications to the drawing are listed in the Revision
Table.
Obtain the ECO number before you institute the change to manufacturing.
Revision Table
The Revision Table provides a drawing history. Changes to the document are recorded
systematically in the Revision Table. Insert a Revision Table into the GUIDE drawing.
The default columns are as follows: Zone, Rev, Description, Date and Approved.
Zone utilizes the row letter and column number contained in the drawing border.
Position the Rev letter in the Zone area. Enter the Zone letter/number.
Enter a Description that corresponds to the ECO number. Modify the date if required.
Enter the initials/name of the engineering manager who approved the revision.
Activity: Revision Table
Insert a Revision ta ble.
356) Click None from the Layer drop-down menu.
Click the Revision Table tool from the Consolidated
toolbar in the CommandManager. The Revision Table
PropertyManager is displayed. Accept the defaults.
Click OK from the Revision Table
PropertyManager. The Revision table is displayed in
the top right corner of the Sheet.
Zoom in on the first row in the table.
