Extensive resources have responded to an alarm concerning a carpentry
factory in Närby. Thanks to the measures taken by the resources at the site
initially, it was possible to limit the fire to a wood store. At the beginning of
the response operation it was not feasible to execute measures with
uncertain effect. While waiting for resource reinforcement from
Allmänsta, urgent work was carried out in preparation for a subsequent,
effective effort. The production area was pressurised using a fan, an
extensive water supply system was built up and a water cannon was set up to
protect surrounding buildings.
Measures were taken to create favourable conditions for the execution of
other measures later.
