4.9.1 Data Not Within Acceptable Limits
Some of the reasons for early termination included data items that exceed set limits.
There are edit limits set on the following measurements:
Heart rate greater than 80 percent PMHR in Warm-up AND the SP is unable to
continue.
Heart rate greater than 85 percent PMHR (90% for 1 2 through 18 years) in any stage
of the treadmill test AND the SP is unable to continue.
Heart rate greater than 100 percent in any stage of the treadmill test.
SBP greater than 260 mmHg.
DBP greater than 115 mmHg.
RPE greater than 17 (after confirming that the SP understands the concept).
If these limits are exceeded, the ISIS system will display a message indicating what
specific edit limits have been exceeded.
"(Data item) is not within acceptable limits. Go to Recovery."
Click OK.
The ISIS system will then give an auditory message:
“Press ‘Go to Recovery’ on ISIS screen.”
“Change treadmill controller to Recovery Stage for current protocol.”
Change the setting on the treadmill controller by pressing Next Stage until the
Recovery Stage is reached.
Recovery Stages 1 and 2 (and 3 if necessary) will be completed as usual. When
Recovery is complete, press the Next button to advance to the next screen.
