Check belt tension on treadmill. See Section 2.1.1.1.
Check belt tracking on treadmill. See Section 2.1.1.2
Check rear roller guards on treadmill. See Section 2.1.1.3
Check calibration on BP monitor with mercury manometer (0-70 mmHg within +/- 5
mmHg). See Section 2.3.2.
Check calibration on BP monitor with mercury manometer (70-120 mmHg within +/-
5 mmHg).
Check calibration on BP monitor with mercury manometer (120-180 mmHg within
+/- 5 mmHg).
Check calibration on BP monitor with mercury manometer (180-220 mmHg within
+/- 5 mmHg).
Check calibration on BP monitor with mercury manometer (220-255 mmHg within
+/- 5 mmHg).
Check that calibration mercury manometer is intact. See Section 2.3.3.
Calibrate the SECA scale - weekly weight check. If the scale is off, do a full
calibration and if the scale is off by a pound or more with the 5 weights on it, inform
the MEC manager and a replacement scale will be sent to the MEC. See Section 2.4.1
for calibration procedures.
Calibrate the SECA stadiometer. If the reading is off by greater than 1 cm, inform the
MEC manager. Use the stadiometer until a replacement is sent. See Section 2.4.2 for
calibration procedures.

Complete all daily checks.
Complete all weekly checks.
Remove all BP cuffs from bladder and wash cuffs with soap and water. Allow drying.
Wipe down BP monitor with cloth dampened with water. Do not use alcohol.
Wipe down treadmill controller with cloth dampened with water. Do not use alcohol.
Confirm treadmill controller settings for speed and grade for all stages are accurate
(for each of the eight protocols) (Chief technologist).
