Reset the treadmill controller to the appropriate exercise protocol.
Repeat the instructions for getting on the treadmill.
Have SP straddle the belt, press Start Belt.
Have the SP start walking on the belt.
Press Start Course on treadmill controller and ‘Restart’ on ISIS screen.
Continue the test as per protocol.
3.15 Recording Problems with Data Acquisition During the Treadmill Test
Record problems with equipment, protocol, and data measurement or capture on the data
acquisition problem screen. Check all that apply. The categories are:
- No problem.
- Problem obtaining BP - the BP is not displayed on the BP monitor and not captured in
ISIS. Check the stage(s) when this happened. - Problem obtaining HR (variability).
- Problem with data capture - the BP is displayed correctly on the BP monitor but not
correctly captured in ISIS. - Problem with electrodes (perspiration, chest hair, large chest/abdomen).
- Problem with BP cuff (large arm, cuff slipped, bending/flexing of arm).
- Problem with treadmill controller (accidental overshoot when advancing).
3.16 Component Status
The component status is set by the system based on predetermined criteria. If all the data
were obtained and captured, the status is set to complete. If the test was stopped early or some of the data
were not obtained or captured, the status will be set to partial. If the SP was excluded prior to the exam
due to safety/exclusion reasons or refusal, the status will be set to not done. If the status is set to partial or
not done, a comment is required. Some comments are set by the system based on predetermined criteria.
