IMAGE SELECTION IN BRIDGE

Before thephotographer edits any images, the selection
process begins, in Adobe Bridge. There are various
methods by which this can be achieved and each
photographer willdevelopa system they canworkwith
comfortably.EverybodywillworkinBridgeinaslightly
differentway;theworkspaceandmenuoptionscanallbe
selected to work in the way the photographer wants.


By using the various headings on the left-hand side of
Bridge(Metadata,Filter,Collections,Export)theimages
can be filtered into groups of images determined by a
variety of factors such as lens choice, focal length and
aspectratio.Whenselectingbatchesofimagesthesecanbe
grouped together by simply labelling or star rating the
imageusingthedrop-downmenufromthestarfoundinthe
top right of Bridge. (In Lightroom the metadata
informationforimagescanbefoundinthelibrarymenuto
theright-handsideoftheLightroomwindow,underneath
thehistogram,andthelabellingandstarratingfunctionof
Lightroom can be found in the library top bar under
attributes.)
