Rationale: Identifying and understanding mental models are elements of
understanding oneself and the community and are assets in
youth development. Youth who are self-aware and can
describe their mental models are more likely to engage in
positive behaviors and avoid negative, destructive behaviors.

Audience:
In-school and out-of-school youth who have completed at
least primary education
Facilitator
Expertise:
Peace Corps Volunteers and local counterparts who have
been trained in how to use and adapt the Life Skills and
Leadership Manual.
