CANDLES Straight or votive candles in the following
colors: one black (cause confusion to enemies,
protection) and one purple (drive away evil, spiritual
protection).
OIL Patchouli.
HERBS Patchouli.
INCENSE Cypress or pine.
STONES Jade, lapis lazuli, and two pieces of black onyx.
OTHER SUPPLIES A small metal cauldron; a small piece ofpaper.
TIMING On the new moon or the waning moon cycle.
DAY Saturday.
ADVICE Sometimes nice little spells simply do not make
an impression on certain types of malicious, harmful
people. Then you must be willing to do whatever is
required to protect yourself from harassment, revenge,
or whatever nasty tactics are being used. Binding them,
or preventing them from doing mischief, is one way to
protect yourself.
SPELLWORK Light the altar candles and the incense. Put
the cauldron in the center of your altar. If you know for
certain the names of the offending people, write them on
the paper. If you are unsure, simply write "all my
enemies." Place the paper inside the cauldron. Anoint
the black candle from the end to the wick; the purple
from the wick to the end. Set the black candle to the left
of the cauldron, the purple candle to the right. Place the
lapis lazuli behind the cauldron and the jade in front of
it, with one piece of black onyx on the right side of the
cauldron and another piece on the left of the cauldron.
Light the candles and say the chant slowly five times.
