filters that allow only the fluorescent light through to the eye and block the
more powerful reflected source light.
Light returning to the camera must be filtered to allow only the fluo-
rescent image to be captured. In documenting injury patterns, this filtra-
tion is accomplished with a yellow filter such as the Kodak gelatin 15 filter,
which blocks light transmission in the 400 to 500 nm range (Figures 11.19
and 11.20).
