LEADERS ARE POSITIVE

of corn, multiple ears are produced – with each ear having hundreds of
grains of corn. From one apple there are many seeds. The abundance
mentality is not as concerned with “how many seeds there are in an apple”

  • but rather “how many apple trees there are in an apple!” One perspective
sees an apple with a few individual seeds. The other perspective sees an
    orchard full of apples!

This same principle is true in the spiritual realm. The Bible reminds us
that the true and living God is not a God of scarcity – but rather a God
of plenty. He is not a God of limited resources but of unlimited resources.
Because God knows no lack, He does not have to carefully “dole out” His
heavenly supply so as not to run out! No! He is not a God Who has to
“cut His pie of resources” in ever thinner and thinner slices so as to make
it go around. He is abounding in love, mercy and grace! The Apostle Paul
expressed God’s abundance this way:

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s
grace that He lavished on us...” (Eph. 1:7-8).

With similar words, the Apostle John reminds the Christian of God’s
abounding love toward His children:

“See how great a love the Father has lavished on us, that
we should be called children of God” (I Jn. 3:1).

In reality, the true and living God is the only One “...Who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power
that is at work within us...” (Eph. 3:20).

God has revealed and demonstrated the principle of abundance in both
Who He is and in what He does. We can clearly see this principle expressed
in both the natural and supernatural realms. Spiritual leaders have learned
to lay hold of and appropriate that principle through faith! Effective
Christian leaders live and lead by this positive paradigm. In doing so, they
have made one of the major shifts of axis in life from the paradigm of
paucity to the paradigm of plenty. Their thinking has been eternally shifted
from the scarcity mentality to the abundance mentality. They can rejoice in
God’s abundant blessing upon others without fear that someone else’s
gain is their loss.

Effective Christian leaders are people with an attitude – but it is a positive
