utensils, and is also invaluable for
slicing cucumbers thin for salads.


Having sliced your potatoes,
wash them well (this does away
with any starchy taste) and dry
them in a cloth. Coat the inside of
your terrine with butter and
arrange the potatoes carefully in
layers, building up from the bottom
and round the sides, so that the
slices are evenly distributed,
