Applied Geometry 11
Intended Audience: This course is designed for the student who has successfully completed Algebra I by the end of the 10 th
grade.
Applied Geometry 11 is a course for students who may experience difficulty with a Geometry 10 course. It is designed to emphasize the
study of the properties and applications of common two and three dimensional figures. This course formalizes what students have learned
about geometry in the middle grades, with a concentration on real world applications. Topics covered focus on the Pennsylvania Common
Core Standards and are parallel to the Geometry 10 and Geometry 11 courses, presenting all the same major topics but with a different
depth, breadth, and pace, thus allowing time for discovering and understanding basic concepts. Applied Geometry 11 is designed for
students who do not intend to pursue a course of study in any mathematics or science related field.
