front elevation like a huge
conservatory. The Board of
Trade approved the idea
towards the end of 1873 and
the bath would be moored off
Grosvenor Road, at the end of
Ranelagh Road. However,
press reports say the 260×47-
foot pool was erected
opposite Pimlico Pier.
