left Westminster, clad in his
famous suit, and walked
down the House of Commons
stairs, ‘loudly cheered’ by
people on the bridge and
where three special steamers
with a ‘distinguished
company’ accompanied him.
Boyton paddled his way to
Vauxhall Bridge within
fourteen minutes and, as he
