teaching in the early 1900s.
By now she had married
theatrical agent William
Taylor, their son was born in
1903 and five years later he
was performing alongside his
mother as ‘the youngest
swimmer in the world’. She
performed for visitors to the
Industrial Exhibition in
Manchester in 1910, but a
