and one of its edges is a sheer
eight-foot drop.’ In other
words, someone could think
they’re having a paddle, and
drop straight in. It’s mainly
‘day trippers and people who
don’t know about tidal
estuaries,’ says Richard, who
once rescued two ‘big lads in
their twenties’ who fell in and
the current took them out.
