later I read that she
successfully ended her 155-
mile swim at Putney Bridge
on 7 September. That makes
her the first woman ever
recorded to have swum this
far, but, unlike the champion
women who came before her,
the press coverage has been
virtually non-existent and I
haven’t found a single report
