For the same, and rather obvious

reason, steer clear from guns in

almost all cases. A single shot will attract

all the undead in the vicinity to your

location, which isn’t worth it even if you

do land a killing blow. It’s best just to run

away in these situations.

SILENT NIGHT

Crouch as much as possible instead

of walking, especially when you’re

exploring areas you haven’t scoped out

yet. It’s still possible for zombies to

discover you in this state, but you’ll be

much less audible as you take what you

need from houses.

BAG MAN

If you’re the indecisive type, look

out for bags to increase your carry

weight. Prioritise ones that you can carry

on your back like a rucksack, though,

because bags held in the hand will be

dropped if you climb over something and

then you’ll have to pick it up again.

You should

also listen to

the radio at home

and in vehicles.

Listening to the

weather will be

useful as you tend to

your crops, and

emergency

broadcasts will give

you advance

warning of the

helicopter event.

Once in your world a helicopter will

appear overhead for a full day, and

if it spots you, it’ll chase you incessantly,

its loud, whirring blades attracting many

zombies to your location, and generally

giving you a bad time. Avoid it by hiding

inside or in a forest.
