That’s unbelievable!

*Rubbish! The dad did turn the town’s internet off but he did it accidentally and

got in trouble for it. He used an illegal gadget to block the internet in his house so

his children couldn’t go online – but it disabled the signal for the whole town.

Snow problem for tiny boarder
Footage of an 11-month-old snowboarder in China has become hugely popular
on social media. The video shows Wang Yuji – who can barely stand or walk –
speeding down the slopes. It first became popular in November but is now a hit
all over again, probably because people have taken an interest in the Winter
Olympics, which took place in China between 4 and 20 February.

A decade of 12.34pm photos
For 10 years, Samuel Ryde has taken a photo each day at 12.34pm. The artist
and hairdresser from London chose the time because it is 1-2-3-4. He started
the project to capture everyday moments. Ryde planned to do it for a year, then
set a goal of 10 years and now says he’ll carry on
for the rest of his life. “You take for granted the
things you are surrounded by,” he told the BBC,
“but when they are gone, you miss them.”

Hard work pays off for six-year-old
A six-year-old boy, who went to work with his dad when his parents couldn’t find
a childminder for the day, has received a letter from the boss and payment for his
work. Isaac joined his dad, Tom, for the day as the pair worked on repairing a
house in Yorkshire, England. Isaac was surprised to receive a letter a few days later
from his dad’s boss thanking him for his “excellent” work – and paying him some
money for the job he’d done.

Dad told to take town offline
A father in Messanges, France, was told he could turn off the town’s internet
each night for three hours to get his children offline. The dad spoke to other
parents in the small town and many of them supported his decision. He said
that during the pandemic his children had started using social media and going
online far more often and he wanted this to stop. He asked town officials if the
internet could be switched off for a trial period and they said it was a great
idea. In a statement, officials said that it would encourage everyone to read
more and spend time together talking instead of looking at screens. What do
you think? Is this real or does this story have no signal?*

work with his dad.

No one in town could
access the internet.

The snowboarder is 11
months old in the video.
