In
the
AAT,
Guide
Terms
and
node
labels
are
records
created
as
a
hierarchical
level
to
provide
order
and
structure
to
the
thesaurus
by
grouping
narrower
terms
according
to
a
given
logic,
but
where
no
concept
is
appropriate
as
a
broader
context
(e.g.,
<styles,
periods,
and
cultures
by
region>
)
Guide
terms
within
the
AAT
are
designated
in
displays
by
angled
brackets,
as
seen
in
the
example
here
GTs are part of the genus/species hierarchical structure
Their descriptors are not used as indexing terms
