Joseph Smith Biography

enemies), or those who are well-meaning but without a clue as to the real truth.

Suspect Accounts of Christ’s Life

As Joseph’s history is suspect, even more so is the case of our Christ. Those who
believe that Jesus existed have a hard time gathering any hard factual evidence from
historians and accounts of the time to validate the claim, for even the name “Jesus” is
incorrect in its translation.^15 The most renowned Jewish historian of that time period was a
man recognized in historical circles as Josephus;^16 but because none of his original
handwritten manuscripts exists,^17 one is hard-pressed to know what later editors of his
works interpolated into accounts attributed to him. Of Jesus (or, more correctly, Yeshua),
only one mention is made;^18 and this mention is suspected by scholars as being a later
interpolation by a Christian editor.^19
The scholars, in fact, are correct on this matter: in Josephus’ original writings, no
mention of the dissident Jew, Yeshua, was ever made. In fact, not much attention was paid
to Jesus at all in his day, except from some of the Jewish hierarchy who were upset that
some Jews were listening to him and questioning their religious leaders and beliefs—if not
deserting them altogether. In the end, it was those who believed in him that were the ones
responsible for presenting the facts that surrounded his life and death.
Likewise, no true messenger has ever received an accolade or nod of acceptance
from the mainstream world.^20 This was true in Joseph’s day, as it was in Christ’s day.^21 Even
in modern times, the media will shun this authorized and official biography, because its
author, the one “like unto the Son of man,”^22 isn’t acceptable to them.

The Reality of Joseph Smith’s Calling

The real truth about Joseph Smith will answer the question of whether or not he was
actually called by advanced human beings and given the assignment to do what he did. It
will also answer the question of whether or not there are advanced human beings living in
the Universe outside of our solar system. It should be noted now, that when one doubts the
veracity of Joseph Smith’s claims, that one has also brought into question the reality of a
“God” who is aware of the inhabitants of this earth, and that intervenes, appropriately—in
“God’s” own way and on “God’s” own timetable—in their mortal lives.
As presented in the introduction of this biography, if Joseph was called by a
resurrected human to perform a specific role, then advanced human beings do exist.
And, because the advanced being who spoke to Joseph did so as “one man speaketh to
another,”^23 then this, as also in other instances, sets forth the proper way that these
advanced humans communicate with mortals.
Again, additionally, if Joseph Smith was called by a resurrected human who was
once mortal, then upon Joseph’s death, it is reasonable to assume that he could become a
resurrected human^24 Subsequently, if he is now a resurrected human being, and it is a fact
that a resurrected human speaks to mortals face-to-face as one “man speaketh with
another,”^25 then it is also reasonable to assume that Joseph is the one—as an advanced
human being—who is giving the information to this author for this authorized and official
biography about his life.
