Without Disclosing My True Identity
The True “Power of the Holy Ghost”
The “essence”^14 of that which causes thoughts and ideas to make sense to us is actually
what the scriptures refer to as the “power of the Holy Ghost.”^15 Whether we give the credit to
the “Holy Ghost” or not, the fact remains that each of us uses our own brain and our free will
to choose what we believe and what we do not.^16 However, if we could lay aside our
prejudicial religious views and personal opinions and consider things that almost every
human being should innately agree upon, we would discover, thereby—without consciously
knowing it—that those conclusions are the result of the true “power of the Holy Ghost.”^17
If we hear something and it seems true because we agree with it, then by what power
do we make the conclusion that it is true and then agree with it? Some believe that such
conclusions, quite simply, are the result of the way humans process thought and form their
individual cognitive paradigms (thinking patterns). Those who believe in the Bible,
however, and who are influenced by the doctrines of men concerning it, have a different
approach to the meaning and their understanding of this cognitive power. They believe that
their conclusions are the result of God’s “inspiration” (meaning a source outside of
themselves) that gives them personal certification that what they are thinking is true.
Because they cannot determine the source of the “feeling,”^18 they often ascribe it to the
“Holy Ghost,” “God’s voice,” “revelation,” “inspiration,” “channeling,” and many other
terms that allow them to believe that they are valued enough by “God”^19 to receive personal
communication from him.^20
What the religious-minded do not realize is that all such communication comes strictly
by the complex workings of the essence, imagination, or cognitive power from within the
mind. Our mutual creators do not favor one person over another in how they disseminate
information. And when they do intercede into our mortality, it is only through a chosen true
messenger, such as in the case of Joseph Smith. In every case, a true messenger teaches that
“God is no respecter of persons”^21 and treats all people the same. Advanced humans do not
call special leaders, nor in any other way classify or distinguish any one person above or
below another. For this reason, when a true messenger delivers his message, it diametrically
opposes and conflicts with established religious doctrine that supports the concept of leaders,
teachers, or counselors; and inevitably, the established religious leaders try to discount the
message and get rid of the messenger. What all humans need to know about real truth, they
already do within.
The Influence of Renowned Thinkers
The Bible is the most popular book ever written and published in the history of the
human race. More people upon earth accept it as the absolute truth than any other book.^22 At
the time leading up to the formation of the United States of America, more than 95 percent
of all its laws were the result of some aspect of the Bible, therefore becoming the primary
source of control over both the church and the state. The original meaning of “ignorance of
the law is no excuse” was actually synonymous with “ignorance of your Bible is no excuse.”
Anyone disagreeing with the Bible could be branded a heretic, imprisoned, or worse.
However, because the Bible could only be read by a very small percentage of a population
that was largely illiterate, a person’s opinion of absolute truth was usually formed by the
interpretation of the Bible given by religious leaders.
