eventual destiny, including the exact size of our “eternal home,” or better, our part of the
planet where we would one day live as a fully informed (“wise,” having gone through
mortality), advanced human. The real truth is that the planets of this solar system are the size
that they are in order to accommodate all of the pre-mortal choices of our batch of siblings.^17
Before coming to this solar system and being placed in mortality, we “sat down”
with those who can best be described as “advanced guidance counselors” to map out our
course through mortality. Upon consulting with these “advisors,” who have the
experience and knowledge to know what would best serve our individual needs, our
“mortal life plan” was designed and guaranteed. Whatever kind of mortality we wanted
to live, they would make sure it happened.^18
As explained in the previous chapter, there were some of our batch of siblings who
thought more of themselves and their ability to always do the “right” thing than the rest of
us did. THESE ACTUALLY CHOSE TO BE BORN INTO A MORTAL SITUATION WHERE
THEIR HUMANITY COULD BE TESTED AND PROVEN!
The majority of us, however, didn’t have to prove anything to ourselves and simply
wanted to get mortality over with as soon as possible, so that we could get on with our
eternal existence as advanced beings. The majority, therefore, generally agreed to use their
free will to be placed randomly upon earth wherever it was convenient or needed for the
sake of those who actually needed to prove something to themselves. Moreover, all of us are
gaining valuable oppositional experience to have with us for eternity.
It was those relative few (a “few” of over 15 billion people is still quite a few) who
needed to prove something to themselves. With great wisdom, our advanced “guidance
counselors” (who are far more advanced than our mortal brains can currently comprehend),
literally developed a program for the mortal experience of each and every one of us
according to our free will and individual choices.
Solidifying Joseph in his Role Through Multiple Incarnations as a True Messenger
It was essential that the person who was chosen to fulfill the role of Joseph Smith, Jr.
and bring forth the Book of Mormon, be prepared and given all the help he needed to
accomplish the task, despite being fully mortal. Those who are chosen must overcome the
obstacle of mortality just like everyone else; it is an obstacle they often battle with
throughout their mortality while in the role of accomplishing what they are asked to do. To
assure their success, advanced human monitors set up specifically designed plans for these
chosen ones for all of their incarnations, adjusting them along the way, in order to
adequately corroborate the full expectation of their multiple and eventual roles.
What we will now explain has everything to do with why Joseph would exclaim,
“No man knows my history”; and even more why he was quoted as saying, “Would to God,
brethren, I could tell you WHO I am! Would to God I could tell you WHAT I know! But you
would call it blasphemy and...want to take my life!”^19
Before being born as Joseph Smith, Jr. in 1805, this person lived as the man known in
the Book of Mormon record as Mormon (born circa 330 A.D.). He also lived as Alma (the
elder, born circa 170 B.C.) and as Nephi (born circa 590 B.C.), the son of Lehi. Included as
well among his mortalities was Ether, the last prophet of the Jaredite people, who came to
America around two thousand years before Lehi and who witnessed the final destruction of
the Jaredite nation. From these incarnations Joseph gained the experience, not only to write
what was attributed “by my own hand” of each of these men, but to understand exactly
