Without Disclosing My True Identity
down in the sight of all the people”^51 and give the people his law and his everlasting gospel. But
the people were afraid and instead wanted Moses to represent them.
The modern-day “Moses” commanded the people to “go to the Ohio; and there I will
give unto you my law; and there you shall be endowed with power from on high.”^52 Instead
of receiving the law and gospel of the Christ (the “higher law,” which they rejected), the
LDS/Mormon people wanted the “lower law” which Joseph specifically referred to as the
“law of carnal commandments” in this same context.^53 Part of the “lower law” that the
people received from their “Moses” (Joseph) was “that certain men among them shall be
appointed, and they shall be appointed by the voice of the church.”^54
Hidden Within the “Endowment from on High”
When the “Moseses” “spoke with God” for the people and then tried to
incorporate a simple code of humanity^55 among them, the people rejected the “higher
law” and wanted something to worship that was tangible to their senses.^56 They wanted
religion. They wanted someone to preach to them.^57 In response, the two “Moseses” gave
the people what they wanted.
The modern-day Hebrew-like/LDS/Mormon people had been promised by Joseph
to be “endowed with power from on high” in 1831;^58 but the endowment ceremony was not
completed until 1842. The contemporary “Moses” hid within the presentation of the
“endowment from on high”^59 an explanation of those who gave the people what they
wanted, namely: ministers and preachers who had been “trained for the ministry.”^60
In the original endowment, Joseph symbolically mocked all religions by presenting
the character “Lucifer” as giving the character “Adam” the religion that Lucifer supposed
was Adam’s desire, followed by presenting “someone to preach to you.” Lucifer inquires of
the preacher:
LUCIFER: Are you a preacher?
PREACHER: I am.
LUCIFER: Have you been to college and received training for the ministry?
PREACHER: Certainly! A man cannot preach unless he has been trained for
the ministry.^61
Learned Ones Think They are Wise
It wasn’t only religious training and education that Joseph scoffed, but the whole
educational system set up in the world by “the church of the devil.”^62 Joseph knew things
about advanced civilizations that he could never reveal to the people. However, he tried hard
in many of his “revelations” to reiterate what the Book of Mormon tried to teach the people:
O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the
foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they
hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they
know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth
