11.After stamping the circle shapes into the rec-
tangle wire, apply liver of sulfur or oxidizing
solution to the two pieces of rectangle wire.
It is very important to follow any safety rec-
ommendations the manufacturer suggests
when using any chemicals.
12.After using the oxidizing solution, use fine
steel wool to remove the darkened area on
the surface of the two pieces of rectangle
wire, leaving the circles where you stamped
dark. Rinse with water, dry, and rub with a
polishing cloth. Set these aside.
13.Slide the 14 × 10 mm faceted flat oval bead
onto a head pin.
14.Use the ruler to measure and mark^5 ⁄ 16 ”
above the bead on the head pin. With the
wire cutters or tin snips, cut the head pin
wire^5 ⁄ 16 ” inch above the top bead.
