Imports
Tariffs on imports are set in line with the
GCC Customs Union. This sets a maximum
tariff of 5 percent for most goods imported
outside the GCC. Steel is subject to a
customs tariff of 20 percent, and alcohol and
tobacco are subject to 100 percent.
Tariffs are not applied to imports within the
GCC.

Items prohibited for import include pork
and its derivatives, all goods from Israel,
and certain commodities that may harm the
safety and health of fauna and flora, or those
prohibited for national security or moral
reasons.
