  2. In a small group, compare and contrast similarities and differences in
    how employees are treated among the organizations you work for or
    have worked for in the past. What factors appear to infl uence how an
    organization perceives the value of its employees?

  3. Assume that as a result of HRM planning, you discover a shortage of
    direct service workers but a surplus of administrative workers. Discuss
    possible actions to address the imbalance, and explain why they must
    be approached carefully.
