RIP-ROARIN’ ROASTED RED PEPPER SAUCE
Serve with homemade whole wheat pita wedges: Cut each pita into 8 wedges, separate the
layers, and spread on a baking sheet. Mist with cooking spray and bake at350°F for 15 minutes,
until crisp.

1 JAR (7 OUNCES) ROASTED RED PEPPERS, DRAINED AND CHOPPED
2 TABLESPOONS CHOPPED BASIL
2 TABLESPOONS CHOPPED WALNUTS
1 CLOVE GARLIC, CRUSHED
1 TEASPOON BALSAMIC VINEGAR
1 TABLESPOON EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
SALT AND PEPPER
Mix the ingredients in a blender or food processor, seasoning with salt and pepper. Process until
smooth.
