And TV anchors are never far from their blue cards when they're
interviewing tough subjects. So, why shouldn't you have a cheat sheet,
too?
On the next page you'll find an at-a-glance guide to help you
remember the principles of the New Abs Diet peak nutrition and weight-
loss plan. We've added a handy portion-distortion decoder to help you
recognize proper serving sizes because, you know, we can't tell 3 ounces
from 12 either, and even brown rice will weigh you down if you overeat
it.
Go ahead and photocopy these two pages (we cleared it with our
lawyers). Reduce them by 50 to 75 percent, depending on how good
your eyes are. Laminate them if you're ambitious. Put them in your
wallet or someplace where you'll be able to use them at restaurants, at
work, or while traveling.
THE NEW ABS DIET CHEAT SHEET
Eat six meals (including snacks) spaced evenly throughout the day.
Plan most meals around the Abs Diet Power 12 food groups. Each
meal should contain at least two of the following:
ALMONDS AND OTHER NUTS
BEANSAND LEGUMES
SPINACH AND OTHER GREEN VEGETABLES
DAIRY (FAT-FREE OR LOW-FAT MILK, YOGURT, CHEESE)
INSTANT OATMEAL (UNSWEETENED, UNFLAVORED)
