3. Add the bell pepper to the saucepan and sauté it for 1 minute. Add the beef and pork to the
pan and cook for 6–8 minutes until brown. Mash the meat into tiny pieces as it browns.
4. Add water and beef broth to the saucepan, and immediately whisk in the cornstarch and
flour.
5. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30–35
minutes, until the gravy is thick.

1 pound spicy bulk breakfast sausage
1 (14-ounce) can clear chicken broth

with a fork.
2. Stir in the broth, rice, and onion.
