Tony Roma's Carolina Barbecue Sauce


Tony Roma's restaurants make a wonderful rack of pork ribs, and this sauce can be used on beef,
pork, or chicken.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
1 cup ketchup
1 cup red wine vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup molasses 1½ teaspoons liquid smoke
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder


1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat and whisk until smooth.
2. Bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until
the sauce has thickened.

This company claims that they pioneered the baby back ribs, which are popular on the menu at many
restaurants. Their bar-becue sauce is available on supermarket shelves nationwide, and their
precooked ribs with sauce can be found in the frozen foods aisle.

1 (15-ounce) can drained whole kernel corn
