theadvantagesover,say,polyesterresins,ofgoodadhesiveproperties,lowshrinkageduringcureso
thatresidualstressesarereduced,goodmechanicalproperties,andthermalstability.Themodulusand
ultimate strength of epoxy resin are, typically, 5000 and 100N/mm^2. Epoxy resins are now found
extensivelyasthematrixcomponentinfibrouscomposites.
