the record of humanity, to be productive members of a larger community, to be good citizens and good
ancestors to those who will follow after them. In an age of globalization, when economies sink or swim
on their ability to mine and manage knowledge, as do both individual and national security, we cannot
afford to let this generation of ours or indeed, any other, fall behind the learning curve. Let me bring us
back to where we began: For all of us, the handprint must remain firmly and clearly on the wall.
