Figures 4 and 5 showtheinfluenceof푛and퐻/푑푤on
consolidation behaviour of CCSG pile composite foundation.
Itcanbeseenthatconsolidationvelocityisreducedwith
the increase of푛and퐻/푑푤. In other words, the bigger the
scope of influenced zone, the slower the consolidation rate
is.Figure 4also shows that the reducing rate of consolidation
velocity decreases with the increase of푛.
Figure 6shows the influence of푋and푌on the consol-
idation behaviour of CCSG pile composite foundation. As
shown in the figure, when the value of푌is constant, the

with푋constant, the larger the value of푌,thefasterthe
consolidation rate is. So, the consolidation rate should be
accelerated with the increasing of푋and푌.
Figure 7shows the comparison between several solutions,
including the solution for ordinary granular material pile
compositefoundationproposedbyLuetal.[ 26 ]andTerza-
ghi’s solution for natural foundation. When푎=0,푋=1,푌=
1 ,푘V=푘V푤,and푘ℎ=푘ℎ푤, the curve presents the changing of
