1. Two students at your school are killed in a car accident after a bas-
   ketball game one rainy night. It was a one-car accident. The accident
   report said the car hydroplaned and jetted across the highway. It
   rolled into the opposite ditch, and both students were thrown out of
   the car. They were not wearing seat belts. The alcohol levels in their
   blood were above the legal limit. Will you recognize their deaths in
   the yearbook? What facts will you use in the story? Would you omit
   anything? Why?


2. You are the editor of the yearbook. The staff has chosen the theme “Just
   Who Do We Think We ARE?” As the pages are being finished, you notice
   that there are no pictures of the Minority Student Union or the Association
   of Native American Students. You question the omissions at the next staff
   meeting. The organizations editor says she decided to cut them and give
   the extra space to the spirit squad “because more people see the spirit
   squad in action, and they work hard to let everyone know who we are.”
   The staff is divided on the issue. What is the issue? How would you, as
   editor, decide what to do?
