Haptoglobin (↓with hemolysis).

Gram stain & culture of unit.

Bilirubin 5–7 hr after tf (sign of extravascular hemolysis).

BUN & creatinine (sign of renal involvement).

Must be reported to FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation & Research (CBER) by phone or

e-mail ASAP.
