Queenslander Wendy Gunn has
become the first Australian to win
the prestigious L’Oréal Professionnel
Style & Colour Trophy international
awards in Paris. Gunn beat
hairdressers from 32 other countries
with her acclaimed look that featured
pastel apricot and peach tones (right).
“It’s the greatest honour,” says the
passionate 69-year-old from Ink for
Hair salon in Brisbane, who is keen
to pass her knowledge onto others,
as well as to work in other countries.
Her motto? “Never stop learning.”
A special mention also goes to
Ruby Smillie of Sloans, in Sydney’s
Lane Cove, who was crowned the
Rising Star Award winner at the
Australian L’Oréal Professionnel
Colour Trophy 2019 Awards.
The top prize went to Massimo
