Flexibility goes a long way in helping you feel young. Joints and ligaments
lose their elasticity if they aren’t stretched, growing shorter and tighter.
Tension also settles into unstretched muscles, further sapping energy,
making one feel older, less energetic and less inclined to get up and move
around. The good news is that you can improve your flexibility at any age
because the body is remarkably resilient, as long as you pay attention to
your own comfort levels and be consistent. Some rejuvenating stretches can
be found in yoga, ballet, and basic sports stretches for all areas of the body.
Remember to warm up before stretching by running in place, swinging your
arms vigorously, to get the blood flowing. Don’t bounce when you stretch.
Don’t hold your breath during stretches – gentle relaxed deep breathing is
best. Be patient and don’t push your body. While everyone can become more
flexible, not everyone can be as limber as a dancer or gymnast. Challenge
yourself, but don’t push yourself further than you can realistically go. You’ll
be amazed at the results. And be consistent – it is the key to progress!

Eating plenty of organic produce – fruits and vegetables – will slow down ageing.
The ageing that goes on under the skin mantle and chronic age-associated
diseases, including heart disease, cancer and degenerative brain diseases can be
slowed down, and even reversed in some cases with a change in diet. Adding lots
of fruits and vegetables and garlic, taking vitamin and mineral supplements, and
avoiding saturated fat will add years to your life and increase your energy. Exercise
is very important, also in delaying ageing. – Nanci Hellmich, USA Today

The use of antioxidant supplements and a diet high in antioxidant foods has
