When Sunbathing Be Wise and Cautious
My father’s first day in the alpine sun he only exposed
his feet! Each day thereafter the doctor instructed him
to expose more of his body to the direct gentle rays of
the sun. The conditioning period to expose his body to
the sunshine extended over a period of 3 months. By
then his body was conditioned to more gentle sunshine.
The doctor believed the best healing rays of the sun
were in the early morning and late afternoon. Dad would
start his sunbathing program as early as 7 am and enjoy
the early rays of the sun. In the cool morning the healing
rays were at their highest point. By 11 am they began to
disappear and the hot infrared rays took over. This was
the time Doctor Rollier advised his patients not to
sunbathe! Then after 3 pm they were again allowed to
expose their bodies to the gentle rays that had now
returned as the hot infrared rays subsided. Try it. You
will love the gentle healing rays of the sun.
We believe many people damage their skin by over
exposing it too long to sun’s hot midday harmful rays.
Most people are looking for a tan, so they smear chemical
sunscreen on their skin, sit in the hot sun, thinking they
are falsely protected. Studies show there’s no doubt
about it – damage is done to the skin by overdoing
this kind of unscientific dangerous sunbathing!
Many people have so much toxic acid in their skin that
when the rays of sunshine strike those toxic areas, damage
is done to their skin. Sunbathing should be done slowly,
so that there is no violent reaction on the skin. This means
that the safer times to sunbathe are before 11 am and after
3 pm until sundown. You will find that as you detoxify
your body and eliminate toxins, you will be able to develop
a beautiful natural tan and healthy glow. Most people are
so full of toxins that when they go out into the sunshine
all they get is a sunburn and often it pulls out skin toxins,
pimples, etc. The sun’s rays are powerful. We should use
them wisely, with caution and respect! Fair people, babies
and children should use extra cautiously and do their
sunbathing in gentle sunlight and wear sun hats. Some are
now making their own green tea as a sunscreen. Dad and I
wear straw hats – you should also. I’m known for my Panama
hat given to me by Jack Lord of The Hawaii 5-0 T.V. Show.
