Once the permissions are correctly set, specify the SMB share as the location for VM
creation or as the target of a storage migration. Figure 4.16 shows a virtual machine
using the share \savdalsofs\Virtuals for its storage. Note that not only is the disk
stored on the share, but also the configuration files, checkpoint files, and smart paging
files. It’s possible to use different storage locations for the different assets of a virtual
machine.
