RD Connection Broker
The updated Connection Broker in Windows Server 2008 R2 was one of the major
components that allowed an all-Microsoft VDI solution and gave Remote Desktop
Services the ability to balance and track connections to nonsession hosts, specifically
the ability to manage connections to client operating systems. It’s important to note
that the Connection Broker still helps balance connections to session hosts as well.
