1 v 1 Dribble to line

Set-up and Directions: Divide your players into groups of two (or three). For each group, set up a playing
area 12 yards in length and 7 yards wide. Have one player stand at the top line of the playing area facing a
second player with a ball, who will be standing on the line at the base of the playing area (Figure 8.2a).

Play is initiated by the player with the ball playing a firm pass into the feet of the second player at the top
of area. As soon as the receiving player takes their first touch, they should attempt to take on the other
player by dribbling and stop the ball on the end-line at the bottom of the grid (Figures 8.2b and 8.2c).
