Cut hair For hair, use the Background
Eraser by running it along the edges of the
hair. It automatically searches for edges of hair
against the background. This is why it’s good
to choose a background that contrasts with
the hair of the subject.
5
Blend it all together If there were any
colour or light shifts during your shooting
process, correct them by clipping a Curves
adjustment layer to the problematic layers and
adjusting brightness or colour accordingly.
6
Add fog Choose a very big, soft brush
(0% hardness) at 100% to paint over the
background, going lightly over the horizon
line. Make sure this layer is on top of the
background but below the subject and props.
1
Composit in photoshop Import each
selected image into Photoshop. Use the
background image as your base layer, and
import each element on top of that. To do so,
select loosely around the prop and subject
with the Lasso tool, then copy and paste that
selection on top of the background image.
2
Layer mask Now add a mask to each
layer. Right-click to adjust the hardness
of your brush. The hardness of your brush
should match the sharpness of what you are
erasing against.
3
Continue layer mask Begin brushing
along the edge of the subject or prop at
100% zoom to blend it into the image.
