PUFFER FISH PATTERNS
The male white-spotted puffer fish builds his
structure by swimming through the sand to
form these patterned ridges. It takes about a
week to complete, but it must be constantly
rebuilt because of sea currents. Why does the
male make this nest? To attract a mate—if a
female puffer fish likes the pattern, she will lay
