From solid magenta, cut:

- 1—5× 111 ⁄ 2 " rectangle
- 2—5" squares
- 1—4^1 ⁄ 2 ×5" rectangle
From each brown floral, cut: - 1—3^1 ⁄ 2 × 181 ⁄ 2 " rectangle
- 1—5× 151 ⁄ 2 " rectangle
- 2—5× 111 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
- 1—5" square
- 2—4^1 ⁄ 2 ×5" rectangles
From multicolor print, cut: - 4—5×14" rectangles
From green print, cut: - 1—3^1 ⁄ 2 × 181 ⁄ 2 " rectangle
- 2—5× 151 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
- 1—5× 111 ⁄ 2 " rectangle
- 2—5" squares
- 1—4^1 ⁄ 2 ×5" rectangle
- 1—1^1 ⁄ 2 ×5" rectangle
From fusible fleece, cut: - 1—3×36" strip
- 2—14× 151 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
- 2—14× 111 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
- 2—14× 41 ⁄ 2 " rectangles
Finished Bag: 8½×12½×5"

Assemble Units A–H
Measurements include^1 ⁄ 4 " seam
allowances. Sew with right sides
together unless otherwise stated.
Press seams in directions indicated
by arrows on diagrams. If no
direction is specified, press seam
toward darker fabric.
- Sew together two solid magenta
5" squares and a brown small floral
5" square in a row (Diagram 1). Join
a multicolor print 5×14" rectangle
to top and bottom edges of row to
make Unit A. The unit should be 14"
square including seam allowances.
A pieced, reversible bag with plenty of pockets is a
handy tote for attending fall festivals or running errands.
