trilostane should be given to coincide with insulin administration; effective in cats
with no reported side effects; decreases clinical signs of HAC; improves regulation of
diabetes but may not resolve diabetes.

Precautions/Interactions


 Hyperadrenocorticism: closely monitor diabetic cat; adjust insulin to prevent hypo-


glycemia when the cortisol levels fall.
