Sucralfate may decreaseabsorption of other orallyadministered drugs (e.g.,fluoroquinolones andtetracyclines) via chelationwith aluminum.Dosing recommendationsare based largely onempiricism. No clinicaltrials of efficacy inanimals. Sucralfate maybe administeredconcurrently withhistamine type-2inhibitors (e.g.,cimetidine).1gtablets;200 mg/mL oralsuspension.Dog: 0.5–1 g q8–12h po.Cat: 0.25 g q8–12h po.
