“I just felt the connection... The chem-
istr y kind of did all the work.”
Three’s A Crowd
Unfortunately for Haley, that connec-
tion could be a source of trouble. Tak-
ing the sedative that Tripp provided
when she was upset by visions of a
vengeful Claire will result in unexpect-
ed consequences. Might they be more
serious than her emotional distress?
Tripp will definitely feel guilty about
the fallout, but he could also be feeling
something else for the undocumented
woman that he’d recently married!
“For Haley, Tripp was always her part-
ner in crime. He sacrifi ced so much,
and so she’s grateful to
him,” Megia maintains.
Sure, they became
close along the way,
but, “I think Haley is
oblivious to how he
feels for her.”
Haley’s boyfriend, JJ,
on the other hand,
might have better ra-
dar. Could the formerly
cautious gal be too em-
broiled in gratitude for
both the men in her life
to notice the impend-
ing love triangle?
“What I think has
changed the most
about Haley is that be-
cause of JJ, Tripp and pretty much ev-
er yone else that has done a lot to help
her,” Megia says, “she was able to fi nally
let down her walls. That’s freed her in
many ways.”
Cautious
Optimism
Her love life
aside, Haley’s
now in a position
to relax and focus
on her future. That means re-establish-
ing her career, deciding where to live
and, of course, getting that elusive
green card. With a year now on the job
and an intense stor yline under her belt,

“Thanks to JJ, Haley
fi nally was able to
just be,” Megia
observes. “That’s defi -
nitely what made her
fall in love with him.”
Having spent a lot of time watching
Kassie DePaiva (Eve) work, Megia
— here with Matthew Ashford
(Jack) and DePaiva — learned “that
you don’t have to be afraid of being
messy with a scene.”
